This policy explains what personal information VAST Visual collects when you visit vastmanga.com, place an order, or subscribe to our newsletter, and who we share it with.
Information we collect
When you place an order. Your name, email address, shipping address, billing address, phone number if you provide one, and the contents of your order. Payment card details are entered directly into our payment provider's systems and are never seen or stored by us.
When you subscribe to our newsletter. Your email address, your name if you provide one, and the date you subscribed. Our newsletter platform also records the IP address and approximate location you subscribed from, along with whether you open our emails and which links you click.
When you browse the site. Standard server log data including your IP address, browser type, referring page, and the pages you view. Our store checkout sets cookies needed to keep your cart working across page loads.
How we use it
We use order information to process, fulfill, and ship your order; to send you order and shipping confirmations; to handle refund, return and support requests; and to keep records required for tax and accounting.
We use newsletter information to send you the newsletter you asked for and to understand in aggregate which content readers engage with.
We use site log data to keep the site running and to detect abuse and fraud.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.
Who we share it with
Our website runs on Ghost, an open-source publishing platform that we host. Ghost stores our newsletter member records, including email addresses and the subscription IP and location data described above.
Orders are powered by Snipcart. When you place an order, Snipcart collects and stores the order and customer information you enter at checkout. Snipcart acts as our data processor and publishes a Data Processing Addendum describing how it handles that data.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant. We receive only a confirmation of payment and the last four digits of the card.
We share shipping addresses with the carriers that deliver your order, and with our fulfillment and shipping software where applicable.
We may also disclose personal information where required to comply with the law, respond to a valid legal request, or protect our rights.
Cookies
Our checkout sets cookies that are necessary for the cart and order process to function. We use Plausible Analytics to track user analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the checkout will not work correctly without them.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for 7 years to meet tax and accounting requirements. We keep newsletter subscriber records until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to object to certain processing. California residents have these rights under the CCPA and CPRA. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights. To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it was last changed, and material changes will be announced on the site.
